Operation Christmas Child Trip!

On November 24, Zack, Laura and some other youth, with one adult, made their way to Denver to help at one of the distribution centers for Operation Christmas Child.  This is a ministry that I remember making shoe boxes for earlier in my life.  Laura called back in August to get a slot to help. She has a passion for children.   Jerry was suppose to go but was not feeling so well. :(  So they sorted, checked, scanned and taped for 6 hours straight!!!!!  It was great!!! What a great way to serve and share the love of our Savior!  Here are some of the pictures they took.

September Update!

I apologize to everyone for how long it's been since we updated!!!  Anyway, here is an overview of the month along with some photos!

We've gone on a couple of mountain hiking trips once in a while that were a lot of fun!  Here are some photos from our latest hike-

On Labor Day some of our friends from church had a picnic at a park by their house.  Everyone enjoyed food, fellowship, volleyball, and a water fight!

Then on the 10th Carter, Laura, and I (Renee) all got our braces put on. (Zack had already gotten his a couple of weeks before.) Incase you are wondering, yes, the first couple of days are very painful!!! You get through it ok though!

Laura and I put on a baby shower for a friend in Denver, and while we were away the boys went to the base theatre and watched "Ice Age 4".  The only thing was that you had to wear your pj's to get in free!  Here is a cute photo; yes, even Zack and Jerry (who was taking the picture) wore them! :)
Right after getting her permit

A couple of weeks later, on the 26th, Laura had a birthday and turned 15!  Along with turning 15, she was eligible to get her Learners Driving Permit!  Yay!!!  Here are some photos of her birthday and her driving!
Laura likes Mickey Mouse :)

A couple days after her birthday we set up a Harvest Party at our church! This was just a time for fun, fellowship and celebrating fall time!  We had a delicious harvest dinner, a pie contest, and volleyball.  All in all it turned out to be a great blessing!  We weren't able to get many, but here a few of the photos from it!

I think that is about all of the major stuff we've done!  Oh, yes, sometime this month we did find that a squirrel was in our Yukon eating goldfish crackers!  We got a photo-

Haha!  Little stinker!  Anyway, I hope you all enjoyed the photos and update!  We do like comments... :)!  God bless you all and I will try to stay more updated!!!

Technical Difficulties...1 :)

Hi Eeveryone!  I'm really sorry if any of you have tried to comment and haven't been able to; we didn't realize some of the settings we had on that made it so that no one could comment.  Anyway, they are fixed now and anyone should be able to comment!  Have a blessed week!

Apple Picking!

Right down from our house we have an apple tree that was (and still is!) full of apples!  So last week the kids and I went down and picked as many as we could reach; which happened to be a lot!  Here are some photos from our adventure!

Elk Everywhere!

A couple weeks ago we went looking for a wild patch of raspberries and on the way we came across a herd of about fifty elk!  Here are a couple photos-

Oh, we found the raspberry patch!  They weren't that big, but....

The whole herd!

Look at the rack on the big guy!

Trip to Rocky Mountain Park!

On Saturday July 28th we went on a day long trip to Rocky Mountain Park!  We first drove all the way to the Alpine visitors center (the highest paved road in North America!), and then we went to Bear Lake and hiked 1.8 miles up hill to Emerald Lake!  It was a very tiring climb, but it was worth the view!  It was very beautiful and we saw many animals in the park.  Here are some photos we took throughout the day and some of the children on a rock in a creek we found!
